Day 8- Old Trafford!! We went to Manchester today and watched Manchester United train at The Theater of Dreams. United were getting ready for the Community Shield match tomorrow against Man City.

Day 7- Today we had a friendly scrimmage against the first year players in the RIASA program.

Prior to the scrimmage Coach Di Jones and Coach Mark Ellis handed out two awards for the week.

The first award went to Jaxn Rogers for the best player in training. Coach Di Jones was very impressed with Jaxn’s work rate and the energy he brought to training.

Second award went to Joey Pieper for the player of the matches. Coach Ellis was thrilled with the two brilliant goals Joe scored but added he should of had a third.

All of the lads played great this week and each one contributed in their own way.

Match Day 2- We played a French Academy team today at Leeds Metropolitan University.

We were much more composed in the start of this game but still went down 1-0 in the first 20 minutes of the game. The boys created a lot of chances in the first half and finally put one past the French keeper.

A nice ball played by Joey Pieper in behind the defense and Jeff Cameron finished the ball in the bottom right hand corner. The half ended in a 1-1 tie.

In the second half the boys turned it on. Jackson Patillo (RIASA) played in a free kick and Joey Pieper caught the keeper off his line and dropped one in from 25 yards out.

A few minutes later Joe Curti (RIASA) played a nice ball in behind the defense and Christian Eissele (RIASA) beat the French keeper to make it 3-1.

The boys let up for a minute and the French team scored to make it a 3-2 game with less than 10 minutes left.

Christian Eissele grab his second goal of the game when he followed up on a free kick from Jackson Patillo.

The game ended 4-2 in favor of the ‘94 MO ODP.

Day 6- Today we went on a tour of Leeds Metropolitan University before our game. This is the satellite campus of Richmond International Academic and Soccer Academy.
